How to Like Pages as Your Business Page on Facebook

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]You may ask, why do you I need to like other pages as my business page on Facebook?  Simple, social media isn't just about spewing your message all the time.  It's about engaging with a community.  A great way to do that is to use Facebook as your business page, comment, like and engage on content shared by others.  While this post from Meltwater.com is a little dated, the reasons they provide are still largely accurate so if you're questioning why you need to use Facebook as your business page, take a minute to read their post. Now that you understand why it's important, let's talk about how to do it.  In the past, you've been able to "sign in" as your business page, like pages, scroll through your feed just like you do on your personal page and comment as you want to.  Well, Facebook changed that process.  In my opinion, the new way is NOT user friendly at all and makes it much more difficult to engage as a business so here are step by step instructions that show you how to like pages as your business on Facebook and then how to view those pages in a feed so you can engage with them.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Step 1 - Go To Your Business Page

Once you're on your business page, look along the left hand column and look for the section I've circled in red below that says "See Pages Feed."[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="3422"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Step 2 - Click "Like Other Pages"

Once you click the "See Pages Feed" link, you'll be taken to a page that looks like this.  At the top you should see a green button that says "Like Pages".  Click that.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="3423"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Step 3 - Enter the Page Name

This is the part that really stinks.  Instead of just being able to browse Facebook and find pages to like, you now have to type in the name of the page you want to like.  This can be especially tricky with business pages because of the strict rule Facebook has about changing page names.  So you may be searching for a business by the name you know it as when in fact the name of their Facebook page could be different.  I'm not sure why they did this, but I'm hoping they change it back. But for now, start typing the name of the page you want to follow and you'll eventually see it come up.  Click on it and it should allow you to like the page as your business page.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="3424"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Step 4 - Engage

Once you've found some pages to follow, to engage with them, you simply go to your business page and click on the "See Pages Feed" like we did in step 1.  That will take you to feed that shows posts from the pages you've liked as your business page.  From here you can comment, like and engage as needed![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="3429"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

A Different, Easier Route to Take

Instead of going through steps 1 through 3, the alternate way to like pages as your business page on Facebook is to go directly to the page you want to follow.  Once on the page, click the three dots to the right of the "Message" button and select "Like as Your Page."  If you manage multiple pages, it will give you a drop down list of all the pages you manage and you can select the business you want to like the page as.  Click submit and you should be set![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="3435"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
